There isn't a fixed number that we can state of how large the model can be, but unfortunately large models can fail. Even if they worked, they would probably be too large be very useful as a 3D PDF. Large models are very sluggish in PDF files.

I added HDRi background, set wattage of interior lights, and added reflection to mirror, vase and floor.
124 passes in Packet Mode, 1 1/2 hours rendering time.
